2630 Series
Cable & Wire Measurement (small diameter)
The 2630 Series is designed for continuous, high-speed operation measuring cable, rope, tubing or wire from 0.5mm (0.0197) to 15mm (0.59in) in diameter.
The measuring machine is equipped with two adjustable tension springs that are mounted externally and can be unhooked from their anchor. This allows the measuring head to be pivoted up to a backstop to facilitate threading. When in position, the tension springs grip the cable between the measuring roller and the bottom roller. Both rollers have self-lubricating bearings.

The 2630 Series measures the length of any continuous strip between 0.5mm (.0197) up to 15mm (.59in) in diameter. It’s commonly used in applications including:

Features
The 2630 has a heavy duty cast aluminum structure and hardened steel inlet and outlet guides. Rollers have self-lubricating bearings for reliable continuous operation. It comes standard with:
- A 250mm (9.84in) circumference polyurethane measuring wheel
- A mechanical totalizing counter
- +/- 1% accuracy
- 25 m/sec or 50 counts/sec max travel speed
- Unit of measure (m/cm or f/in)
- Material travel position (traveling towards or away from the operator)
- Optional shaft encoder to replace the mechanical counter with an electronic counter
Two externally mounted adjustable tension springs can be unhooked to pivot the measuring head up and thread material through the machine.
