It’s a lot of hard work, so it’s always enjoyable when this hard work is recognised. Today, we are delighted to announce our entry at number 272 on Insider Magazine’s coveted list, the ‘SME300’.

Every year, the brains behind acclaimed B2B publication, Insider Magazine compile a list of the best-performing small and medium-sized businesses in the North West. To be included in the SME top 300, businesses must be based in the region and have a turnover of between £5m and £20m. Each company is ranked by calculating an average between turnover and pre-tax profit.

We are delighted that Trumeter Technologies has made an appearance on the list. To gain entry onto the SME300 is a great achievement; particularly when you consider that there are well over 200,000 small to medium sized businesses in the North West.

As well as featuring in Insider Magazine, the SME300 database is also built into a marketing tool for businesses. Companies can purchase this database which includes: contact details for key decision makers within each individual business and information such as number of employees, turnover, profit, auditors, bankers and much more.

This is ideal for generating sales through targeted mail shots and email marketing in a particular industry, and the list also provides the information required for financial analysis of each company. Having this type of access is considered a great way to target potential clients and market to top level contacts, from the best-performing SME businesses in the region.

Insider Magazine described all the companies that featured on this year’s list as ‘diamonds of the North West economy’. This is a huge compliment from such an influential B2B publication, and the entire Trumeter team would like to say thank you for recognising our hard work in the lightings and measurement solutions industries.

Mainlight today announced that it is joining the Trumeter Technology Group.

Mainlight (www.Mainlight.co.uk) is a lighting and electrical services company based in Stockport, specialising in total lighting and electrical solutions for commercial, industrial and retail premises.

Trumeter Technologies (www.trumeter.com) is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of sophisticated control and measurement products, lighting solutions and custom electronic products. Trumeter is based in Bury, with operations also in USA and Malaysia.

Steve Glover, founder, owner and Managing Director of Mainlight will be staying on as Managing Director until 2015. Steve commented “Joining Trumeter will secure the long term future of Mainlight and allow the company to grow the range of services and products it can offer to our customers”. Trumeter Technologies Ltd, the world renowned designer of innovative measurement and automotive lighting and touch sensing products, exhibited this week at the famous Electronica show in Munich, Germany.

On the stand was a fascinating range of leading edge automotive lighting and touch sense technologies that sparked huge interest from automotive professionals and many others with an admiration for electronics innovation.

Lighting products and solutions designed and manufactured by Trumeter are found on many automotive and commercial vehicles including the Jaguar XF, Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Ford C-Max/S-Max, Ford Focus, Aston Martin Vanquish and Daimler Evobus.

At the show, Trumeter demonstrated world class technologies in interior lighting, both ambient and directed, as well as complex exterior lighting modules including the 5-function Aston Martin Vanquish rear light cluster. The Trumeter demonstration chair allowed visitors to immerse themselves in an automotive cockpit and experience the range of truSenseTM technologies including approachSenseTM, touchSense and gestureSense, as well as full demonstrations of truColourTM, an innovative controllable and adaptive colour lighting system that creates an active cabin ambience improving both safety and driver experience.

At the show, Trumeter met many customers from all over the world , from segments including Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Aerospace, Rail transport, Measurement devices, electronic and electromechanical products, and from countries including Germany, UK, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Thailand, Brazil, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Japan.

The Trumeter commitment to innovation and continuous improvement is very strong in both the automotive sector and measurement devices, the latter being an industry Trumeter has served since 1937. Trumeter Sources more than 90% of its products from the Malaysian supply partner, Innovative Design Technologies Sdn Bhd in Penang.

IDT is a purpose designed plant with a layout bespoke to the needs of the business. The plant has an efficient layout and modern machinery with the result that there exists sufficient capacity to support significant growth. This operation is currently preparing for TS 16949 accreditation and has robust quality six sigma and continuous improvement systems.

Trumeter Company Ltd today announced that it has been successful in securing new investment to accelerate product development and increase production capabilities.

The investment package was put together by Warrington based Energize Capital, along with John Smith who will join Trumeter as Director. 24 jobs will be secured at the Radcliffe site. John Smith commented: “This is a very exciting day for the customers, partners and employees of Trumeter. Trumeter has a long track record of developing innovative products and working closely with its’ global customers to deliver solutions to the measurement and automotive lighting markets. This investment will enable the company to commercialise several new products to meet our customer’s needs, many of whom are enjoying significant growth right now.” John Smith added: “While the company now has new shareholders, I am delighted that the executive team has elected to remain with the business and drive it forward. Their experience and knowledge will be invaluable as the company moves forward into an exciting period of growth.”
