Why Choose the APM Frequency Meter

The APM Frequency Meter’s 0.5% accuracy ensures reliable readings for precise frequency and speed control. With a wide input range (2-400Hz), it can be used in a variety of applications, from low-speed equipment like conveyor belts to high-speed machinery for manufacturing. Its ability to handle various sensor inputs, including non-linear, reduces the need for multiple meters and helps improve system performance.

For a wider input range and higher resolution to an accuracy of 0.01% see the APM Rate Meter

The unique display combines the instant readability of an analog meter with the precision and functionality of a digital meter. Get quick recognition and precise functionality for the easiest to use and easiest to read panel meter available.

Easy-to-Read Display Technology

The APM Frequency Meter’s display combines the best of both digital and analog frequency meters and is easy to read in any environment.
  • Large Readout: The APM Frequency meter features four 12mm [0.47″] digits for clear and accurate readings.
  • Wide Viewing Angle: Operators can easily read the meter from a range of positions.
  • Adjustable Brightness: Adjust the backlight level to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Two Contrast Options: Order the positive display for bright sunlight, or the high-contrast negative display for indoors.
  • Curved Bar Graph: The 40 segment curved bar graph display provides an immediate visual indication of parameters for operators.

User Configurable Frequency Meter

The APM Process Meter is highly customizable using the APM configuration software. The easy-to-use, free software allows you to tailor the meter to your specific needs. The APM Frequency Meter can be configured to meet your specific needs using the APM configuration software. The software is free and easy to use and includes:
  • Color Changing Backlight: Configure color and intensity, with flashing or static alerts.
  • Messaging Area: Display custom messages and annunciators.
  • 16 Pre-set Configurations: Use position switches on the back of the meter to select pre-set standard configurations without software.
  • Linear and Non-Linear Scaling: Choose linear scaling or use the 20-point non-linear scaling table to match your application.
  • Configurable Scale & Range: Adjust offset, gain and min/max range.
  • 10 Independent Alarms: Set conditions and actions to meet your requirements.
  • Digital Output Delays: Set delays from 0.5 to 120 seconds to ensure accuracy.

Remote Monitoring

Every APM comes with a free lifetime subscription to Trumeter Cloud so you can remotely monitor the status of your systems. Just add on our plug-and-play APM Gateway to get:

  • Customizable alarm conditions and thresholds for notifications
  • Unlimited email notifications, plus options to add instant text messages
  • Exportable data stored securely in the Cloud

Output & Communications

The APM Frequency Meter comes standard with two outputs to communicate with other systems: 1 digital (open collector) or 1 analog (4-20mA). In certain circumstances we can customize the APM Frequency Meter with Modbus RTU for further communications.
