At Trumeter, product design is about more than just function — it’s about creating smart, reliable solutions that are easy to use and built to last. Whether it’s an electronic counter, power meter, or a custom solution, every Trumeter product reflects a deep focus on innovation and user needs.
User-Focused Engineering
In Trumeter product design, ease of use isn’t just a UX goal — it’s a core engineering requirement. Every detail is built with the real world in mind, from gloved hands and low-light conditions to tight spaces and time-sensitive setups in industrial environments. That’s why our interfaces are intentionally designed for simplicity, featuring large-format LCDs, high-contrast backlighting, and either tactile sealed membrane keypads or capacitive touch buttons—depending on the application.
Durability by Design
Our devices are built to handle heat, moisture, shock, and electrical noise, with IP65-sealed enclosures that keep them protected in tough environments. We follow IEC standards for vibration, EMC, and surge immunity. Our products typically operate from –20°C to +70°C and are tested to survive years of daily wear.
Modular, Scalable Solutions
We use modular firmware to adapt quickly to different product variants. Whether it’s RS485, analog input, or Modbus TCP over Ethernet, our platforms are expandable and field-upgradeable. Analog precision, digital filtering, and protocol support are designed in from the start — not added later.
Manufacturing-Ready Engineering
Design for manufacturing (DFM) is a key part of our process. Using SOLIDWORKS and PDM, we ensure seamless collaboration between our UK-based design teams and Malaysia-based manufacturing facilities. PCBs follow IPC standards; connectors, fasteners, and materials are selected for global sourcing and reliability.
Built-In Compliance
Compliance isn’t a checkbox — it’s built into every stage of Trumeter product development. Our layouts are created with proper creepage and clearance in mind, and we design with CE, UKCA, UL, RoHS, and EMC requirements as core constraints. Our in-house testing setups help us catch and fine-tune emissions and immunity early, so everything’s ready to meet the mark.
Innovation That Lasts
Our mechanical counters are still a go-to solution in environments where power isn’t available. With custom gearing, low-torque designs, and durability rated in the millions of cycles, they demonstrate how traditional engineering product design can evolve for today’s challenges.
