At Trumeter, we believe making a positive impact extends beyond the work we do every day. Recently, members of our team volunteered at Resource Depot, coming together to support sustainability, reduce waste, and give discarded materials a new purpose.
Resource Depot focuses on keeping reusable materials out of landfills by finding creative ways to repurpose them. During our volunteer visit, the team took part in hands-on activities that helped prepare donated materials for reuse.
Turning Everyday Materials Into New Opportunities
Our team worked on two projects designed to make the most of materials that might otherwise go to waste.
Using leftover scrap paper, volunteers folded origami envelopes, transforming paper remnants into something useful. The team also rolled and cut fabric into smaller, more manageable pieces, preparing it for future creative projects.
While these activities were simple, they demonstrated how small efforts can contribute to a larger mission of reducing waste and encouraging reuse.
Working Together to Make a Difference
Beyond supporting an important environmental cause, the volunteer experience gave our team an opportunity to collaborate outside the workplace, connect with colleagues, and contribute to the local community.
We’re grateful to Resource Depot for the opportunity to support its mission and see firsthand how creativity and resourcefulness can help reduce waste.
At Trumeter, we’re proud of our team’s commitment to giving back and look forward to more opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the communities around us.
