Our Commitment to Employee Wellbeing

Trumeter’s employee wellbeing plan focuses on several aspects of individual wellbeing to help increase positivity at work:

  • Health: physical health (e.g.: diet and exercise) and emotional health (e.g.: community)
  • Environment: safe, comfortable, inspiring
  • Growth: training soft and hard skills for work and personal improvement
  • Financial Security: retirement plan, wages, insurance

Trumeter takes the physical and mental health and safety of all employees very seriously, which is why we designed and implemented our employee wellbeing plan.

The plan was developed by researching and assessing the best-practice programs both inside and outside the company, and identifying any barriers to good health, with an aim to help educate and encourage employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle. We have a dedicated employee wellbeing section on Trumeter’s intranet where we post information related to health issues that could affect our team. For example, many of the team are desk based, so we asked a sports therapist to do a video talking about ergonomics, desk set up and simple exercises to help avoid neck and back pain.

Trumeter recently launched an employee-driven conversation space where personal health stories can be shared along with healthy recipes, fun exercises, and recommended podcasts to inspire each other physically and mentally.

We openly bring the subject of mental health into group sessions by choosing appropriate discussion topics such as good and bad coping strategies to help employees manage stress. Trumeter encourages employees to participate in activities together outside of work, such as team sports, going out for meals and volunteering for organizations to help strengthen relationships and boost wellbeing among team members.
