About the Product
The Guardian is an advanced monitoring system for homes and businesses. It continuously monitors the electricity supply and infrastructure for issues like loss of neutral, stray voltages, loss of phase, high or low line voltages, and high or low frequency. Because it is connected to the internet and monitoring the supply 24/7, the Guardian can send early warning alerts to building users and maintenance companies to prevent catastrophic failure.
About the Process
The IoT and Cloud components of the Guardian were outside the scope of expertise of the Matt:e team. They reached out to Trumeter because they were already using Trumeter APM Volt Meters for test equipment. The features of the Guardian evolved and expanded during the life of the project, and the Trumeter team had no issue incorporating those features into the design. Working with Trumeter has also made global distribution possible for the Guardian.
