Yesterday, members of our UK team visited the FGRS Community Hub to deliver boxes of donated non-perishable food items and essential toiletries for their food pantry.
Established in March 2022, the FGRS Community Hub (Fishpool, Goshen, Redvales, and Springs) was formed in response to the impact of COVID-19 on the local area. The volunteer-led organization was created to combat social isolation, address food insecurity, and support mental well-being by providing a safe space to access resources and support.
The Hub is open three days a week, offering a warm, welcoming space and hot drinks for local residents. In addition to operating a food pantry that supports 20 to 30 families each week, the team runs a children’s playgroup and a school uniform shop, providing both new and gently used items for local elementary and high schools.
The FGRS Community Hub continues to grow through donations, fundraising efforts, and grant support, working closely with community partners to meet evolving local needs. We were proud to contribute to their work and appreciated the warm welcome our team received during the visit. We can’t wait to return with more support.
