Climatic Testing at Trumeter

Climatic testing evaluates how well a product can withstand a range of environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity and pressure. At Trumeter, we perform climatic testing to make sure our products can withstand the most challenging conditions they could encounter in the real world, from high temperature and humidity outdoors to low temperatures in cold storage.

The Environmental Oven

An environmental oven, also known as a climatic test chamber, is a controlled testing space used to simulate extreme conditions. Our oven uses a Tecumseh compressor for accuracy and can be used to test electronics, electrical components, rubber, metal and plastics. We can test temperatures ranging from -70°C/-94°F to 150°C/300°F, and humidity ranging from 20% to 98%.

The Importance of Testing in Extreme Conditions

Testing in extreme conditions ensures that our products deliver reliable performance no matter where they are installed. Here’s why this process is important:

  • Temperature Resilience: We evaluate how the unit performs under extreme heat or freezing temperatures. This ensures it will work seamlessly in environments from icy tundras to sweltering deserts.
  • Humidity Resistance: Prolonged exposure to moisture can degrade electronics. By simulating high humidity conditions, we ensure the unit resists corrosion and continues to operate flawlessly.
  • Operational Durability: The tests simulate real-world operational environments, guaranteeing that the unit meets rigorous quality and performance standards.

Why It Matters for Our Customers

By replicating extreme environments, we proactively identify and eliminate potential weaknesses in every unit to enhance product reliability. A product that can withstand harsh conditions is less likely to fail, reducing maintenance costs for our customers. Every unit our customers receive is a testament to our commitment to quality and customer trust.
