02-04-14 Revolutionary Advanced Panel Meter Launched by Trumeter

Worldwide, innovative, design and manufacturing company, Trumeter Technologies Ltd, have spent the last two years developing the latest Advanced Panel Meter (APM), with the emphasis on a product that is easy to use and easy to read.

Trumeter’s APM is capable of displaying information in both digital and bar graph format, giving the user an immediate visual indication of the measured parameter. Designed at their UK Engineering R&D facility, this unique range of products includes a Voltmeter, Ammeter and Frequency Meter. With offices in the UK and USA and representation in Malaysia, Trumeter are launching this outstanding product to the global market.

The APM has been specifically designed for engineers requiring a more effective and easier way of monitoring and displaying data and provides the highest level of accuracy. The 40 segment, curved bar graph display has a programmable scale, whilst the large 4 digit readout provides precision.

As expensive digital panel meters replace older analogue meters in many applications, due to their increased accuracy and availability of features, the Trumeter Advanced Panel Meter provides an appealing solution by offering a great number of features at a very competitive price.

A unique and ground-breaking feature of Trumeter’s innovative product is the immediate visual indication of critical parameters. Two independent alarm set points can be created based on specific requirements, and once the meter detects values within these critical ranges it can change or flash the backlight giving a clear visual warning. The two optional alarm outputs means total integration with other systems and PLCs. Whilst the programmable backlight colour can also be altered to suit any setting.

The brightness of the screen is adjustable and this combined with the large display, wide viewing angle (both horizontal and vertical) and high contrast, anti-glare LCD screen makes the APM extremely user-friendly. There is a separate Starburst display area for annunciators, custom messages and alarm information. The APM is less than 53 mm deep, is water proof from the front when used with the supplied gasket and is fully operational in temperatures ranging from -10 to +60°C. Trumeter have covered every angle with this, their latest offering, and what’s more, the software is free and requires no drivers.

Set to be launched worldwide on 2nd April 2014, the product is being developed as we speak, with Power Meter and Process Meter variants to follow on shortly. The APM from Trumeter will set new industry standards as the most easy to use and easy to read, multi-format, programmable panel meter on the market. The product is best seen through demonstration which can be arranged through your local Distributor – please contact your Trumeter office for details.

Trumeter Technologies Ltd, the world renowned designer of innovative measurement and automotive lighting products, has today moved to larger, purpose designed premises in Bury, UK.

Trumeter Technologies Ltd, the world renowned designer of innovative measurement and automotive lighting products, has today moved to larger, purpose designed premises in Bury, UK.

Trumeter designs and manufactures electronic lighting systems for automotive and other applications as well as a diverse range of measuring, counting and control equipment for multiple applications. Both interior and exterior lighting products designed and manufactured by Trumeter have been specified on the Jaguar XF since 2007, and are now specified on cars built by Range Rover, Land Rover, Ford, Audi, Aston Martin and Daimler Evobus. With the fast pace of growth in this sector in particular, Trumeter has quickly out-grown its present offices in Bury.

Trumeter invented the world‟s first measuring wheel back in the 1950s, a product used by both public and professionals the world over. Trumeter‟s products still include the famous yellow and black measuring wheel and include the world‟s first electronic version invented some decades later. The Trumeter commitment to innovation and continuous improvement continues to be very strong today, with a thriving business in counters and timers, and a product range available to measure and control just about anything – cable, rope, amps, volts, temperature, wallpaper, carpet, distance you name it, Trumeter has a suitable product .

The new self-contained and modern facility, named „Trumeter House‟, has over 700m2 of offices, laboratories, test areas and a new Pilot line / Prototype development zone. In addition, the newly established distribution centre is co-located at the facility, and this will enable Trumeter‟s Distributors and Customers to enjoy a next day service in Europe across much of the Trumeter Product Range.

The spacious facility has been completely re-fitted to Trumeter‟s specification. Over the last 2 years Trumeter has developed a great relationship with the Landlord, City Executive Centres (CEC), and this move confirms that for the next 5 years. As well as the office in Bury, CEC have offices in Harrogate, Liverpool and Newcastle and across the country. John Smith, Trumeter Director commented “The CEC team are a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job to manage the extensive refit under great time pressure”.
John continued: “Trumeter has been based in the North West for 75 years, and this move sets us up well for many more years to come. The move has brought all our head office functions together in one collaborative office suite. Importantly also, since all the product engineering and design is done here in Bury, it will provide the space and resources for the highly skilled engineering team to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and enable the growth in product development and commercial resources anticipated and required over the next few years to be accommodated effectively.

17-06-11 New-Look Trumeter Unveiled

Sixteen months on since the classic metering name Trumeter was reformed under new management, the company has unveiled a new image and new-look website.

Designed and produced by Manchester, Marketing Agency, K2L Marketing Ltd, the new modern logo captures the energy of Trumeter’s products, whilst their clean interactive website captures the innovation of the Trumeter Brand.  Both have been designed to position Trumeter as world class pioneers in the design and manufacture of innovative measurement products and LED Lighting products as well as re-emphasising their commitment to both suppliers and customers.

Group Sales and Marketing Director Alf Jones said “the reformed and rebranded company, Trumeter Technologies Ltd, is well-placed to build upon the heritage of quality that preceded it: “the new management, focus, and robust new infrastructure has totally revitalised the company.”

That new structure includes a new home for Trumeter in Bury, Greater Manchester, just a few miles from their original base in Radcliffe, with the addition of a workshop and R&D facility in the same locale.

Further afield, Trumeter’s new supplier and manufacturing partner Malaysian based, “Innovative Design Technologies,” is now operating at full strength, producing Trumeter’s wide range of products, from the core range of Distance Measuring, Length Measuring and Electronic Measuring and Counter products to their special range of Automotive LED Lighting, Liquid Dispensing Measurers and Counters and a broad range of LED Lighting products. The market remains eager for Trumeter’s brand of excellence and innovation.

One of those innovations – designed for the internationally-respected brand “Jaguar” – is attracting praise everywhere. Even the notoriously hard-to-please Jeremy Clarkson recently praised Trumeter’s lighting system on BBC’s Top Gear: “Love these, stroke the lights to make them come on, stroke them again to turn off.”

Appealing, innovative and easy to use; something all Trumeter products, past and future, have in common. Alf Jones says of Mr Clarkson’s comments: “It is that kind of honest reaction to our developments that has – and continues to – encourage Trumeter to keep moving forwards and finding new ways to add value for our customers and end users”
